What is compost?
Composting is the process of recycling organic materials into an amendment that can be used to enrich soil and plants. It is a way to feed soil without using chemical fertilizers, keeping organic waste out of landfills and conserving water.
How is MAORC compost different from other compost?
Our compost is organic, meaning it will not leave any herbicide or pesticide residue.

Where does MAORC source its compost materials from?
Our compost is made up of grain waste, hatchery waste, organically raised animal manure, and miscanthus grass.
Can I sell my agricultural waste to MAORC?

What government programs does MAORC compost qualify my farm for?
MAORC compost is certified for use in the USDA Soil Carbon Amendment Grant program.
How is MAORC compost a net lower price than traditional fertilizer?
Our compost both reduces costs and drives incremental revenue. Our compost is 50% less expensive than traditional fertilizer and because the compost contains calcium, lime and nitrogen farmers can use it as a replacement for starter fertilizer. Studies have shown that crops grown with MAORC compost have increased yields.
